Day 3 - Boston

Anthem of the Seas arrived into Boston at 7 am.
The ship was docked a few miles from the center. We bought a Hop-on / Hop-off bus tour that began just a short walk from the cruise terminal. First stop was at Quincy Market, - originally warehouses but now shops, restaurants and bars.

To the left a map showing the location of bus stop 18a next to the Black Falcon Cruise terminal. Bus stop is only operated when cruise ships in harbour.

From here we walked to Beacon Hill, an area of old houses in the English style. Especially the narrow Acorn Street with small cobblestones was interesting.
We then followed the 'Freedom Trail' which takes in the most interesting attractions in Boston - a walk of about 4 km (2.5 miles).
The tour starts in 'Boston Common' park and runs like a red line embedded in the sidewalk through the town. With a description of the sights in the hand (available at this link) is just to follow the line from Boston Common and through the city. Also watch the video below.

After the Freedom Trail, we took again Hop-on / Hop-off bus from stop no. 3 - we drove up to the stop no. 8......

....including the library and Trinity Church. Walked through the Public Garden and took the Hop-on / Hop-off bus from stop no. 6 and drove the entire trip through Cambridge universities back to the cruise ship.
We were back on the ship at 4 pm.

I will soon post a video from our visit to Boston.

Before dinner we saw a show in the theater - 'Gift' - marvelous scenery, but unfortunately the music were just to our taste. Dinner in the American Icon Grill consisting of fried tiger shrimp, Mahi-Mahi (fish) and apple pie with ice.
